Ballet II/III

Young ballet dancer

Intermediate students work on motivating movements from the turnout, maintaining a strong, centered and lengthened spine and coordinating arms and legs for more complex pirouettes and petite allegro. Focus on timing, musicality, and ensemble dancing are an important part of this class. Students are encouraged to self-correct so that more advanced combinations can be mastered.

Dancers prepare feet, ankles and legs for the demanding work of dancing en pointe with specific barre & center exercises. Students must master this work before dancing in pointe shoes.

The pointe portion of class on Tuesdays from 2-2:30pm and on Saturdays from 12:30-1pm is optional.
