Ballet I

Young ballet dancers

This class is for students who are ready to dive into the hard work of ballet. Beginning from the foundation conditioning excersizes for strengthening, flexibility and body awareness as well as alignment are the focus of this class. The fundamentals of ballet technique are introduced with a focus on awareness of how to work the whole body. Dancers build technique and vocabulary while gaining confidence and sense of accomplishment.

Level: Beginner (age 8-10)

Schedule: Tuesdays 4-5:00pm; Saturdays 10:30-11:45am

Attire / Appearance: Lavender leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers. Hair pulled back off the face in a pony tail, pigtails or bun. Boys: white t-shirt and black leggings.
